- What kind of themes can be explored in this image/painting?
- Why is the horizon line so absolute? Wouldn’t it have a curvature?

- Where is this place supposed to be? Is it real? Does it matter?
- How big is the object on the horizon (bigger or smaller than we think)?
- How far away is the object?
- Where is the position of the sun? (I guess that would depend on time of day too.)
- What motivated the artist? (goes hand-in-hand with the themes and intentions of the artist.)
- What does the minimalistic nature of the painting add/take away from the tone/experience?
